About

Builders Who Sell is a knowledge platform about the space between writing code and getting paying customers.

Most engineers build blindly. They ship features nobody asked for, validate with friends who lie to be polite, and wonder why the product dies on contact with reality. Most sellers, on the other hand, can't understand systems. They pitch without grasping architecture, promise what can't be built, and treat engineering as a black box.

The rare edge is sitting at the interface between both.

This site collects essays, breakdowns, and field notes on that interface — product validation mechanics, presales conversations, distribution strategy for technical founders, and the hard lessons from building products that either survived market contact or didn't.

Who writes this

Edu is a product engineer and presales specialist based in Lagos. He's shipped products like PrepCall (an AI presales intelligence tool that survived validation) and BetSignal (a sports analytics platform). His background spans cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and systems architecture — but his focus is on why technically excellent products still fail to reach markets, and what to do about it.

Before writing here, he spent years watching engineers avoid sales meetings and salespeople misunderstand systems. That gap is where most products die. This site exists to close it.
